Life sculptures by learners in Pam Foley's Adult Learning coursespamfoley.co.ukEver wondered how Rodin came to produce his expressive human forms? He needed to start somewhere. And you can, too, in Pam Foley’s life sculpture course, taught from her studio in Farthinghoe. Pam has developed a simple method and strategy for ‘looking’ at three-dimensional forms so that you can successfully render them in clay. At the end of the 10 week term, you will have a fired clay sculpture to proudly display in your home or office. There is a life model present in every lesson throughout the 10 week term, taught through Northamptonshire's Adult Learning Service. A new Beginners Course has been added to the Wednesday line up, conveniently held from 6-9pm. The autumn course begins on 16 September 2015. Phone the NCC enrolment line on 0300 1261000 (open 8:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday) or visit the NCC Adult Learning Service at www.northamptonshire.gov.uk The name of the course is Sculpting the Human Form in Clay. About the tutor: Pam has been a free-lance professional sculptor for 15 years. Her speciality is reinterpretations of the human form, creating abstracted sculptures that reflect the themes of solitude and fleeting thoughts or emotions. In her studio she works in clay or plaster to produce original sculptures that are then cast into various materials. Pam also devises and executes projects of special interest to her.
