Sculpture: recycled and Powertex

Liz Dixon, founder of Comfy Frog Home & Garden, takes recycled natural fibre textiles and combines them with wire structure and preloved found objects to give them new life as sculptural art for the home and garden.

Material is impregnated with Powertex fabric hardener and worked whilst wet to produce solid, weather resistant sculptures with the forms and fluidity of draped fabric, pushing the perception of textile art.

Liz also runs a number of textile sculpture workshops across the Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes area to teach interested parties how to create their own artworks using this fascinating technique.
