Figurative paintings: oils and pastels
Sue studied at Goldsmiths College of Art, specialising in drawing and creative embroidery, followed by a post graduate teaching year at Brighton College of Art.
She ran a successful interior furnishing business until moving to Northamptonshire with her husband and taking a break to raise her family.
She then started teaching art to adults whilst renewing her love of painting. After exploring different mediums and subjects she now concentrates on figurative work in oils and pastels.
Sue exhibits and works to commission and her work is in private collections both home and abroad. She has also recently used her artistic abilities to create modern designs for hand fans marketed under the brand name “flutterart”.
Her recent painting “Sisters” was accepted by the Society of Women Artists for their open exhibition held at the Mall Galleries 2015.
She is currently chairman of South Northamptonshire Arts an organisation set up to promote the visual arts in this region, principally by organising an annual Art Trail.
